Light and shadow, mood, emotionally charged representation. Art, for me, is a means of expressing internal thoughts and observations. I currently work with charcoal, pastels and chalk.

I have retired after a career as an architect, having spent the last 20 years teaching architectural design to Architecture students at degree and Masters level. Hence, my art work has an architecturally inspired theme whether it be perspective, buildings, or the theatricality of space.
One of my special interests is the Arts and Crafts architecture of the Suburb, where I have lived for the last 25 years, Garden Suburb gardens and garden design. I am a garden designer too, a lifelong love.
