About This Project
I started painting full-time after retiring from advertising and PR in 2010. The two previous summers were spent in an atelier in Florence as preparation.

My specialism is portrait painting and there are several examples of commissions both here and on my website: hotpr.biz
I was selected in 2011 for the Lloyd’s Bank Art of Sport project and exhibited in many exhibitions in this connection.
My work has also been shown at several group shows including the Royal Birmingham Society for Artists, the Chelsea Arts Society, the Menier Gallery, The Artist Magazine annual exhibition and the Finchley Arts Depot.
I won the prize for professional artists at the latter.
In 2017 I was shortlisted for the Ashurst Emerging Artists award.
I have tried my hand at landscapes and do quite a lot of figure drawing these days but my preference is still portraiture.
