Ruby Jafery

I am a self taught multidisciplinary artist. I enjoy using a mixture of textures in all my work. I am most inspired by nature, my own experiences and travel. Photography also plays an active role and I often refer to photographs I have taken for ideas and as a reference for my pieces. I have experimented with various mediums including watercolour, oil, acrylic, resin and silk painting. I am most passionate about creating abstract paintings with acrylics oils and oil pastels often with the addition of gold leaf. My pieces reflect my journey through life and often juxtapose different emotions. Painting and creating art allow me the freedom to express myself and share my thoughts and innermost self with others.
