Sally Hyman is a figurative painter working in oils. She brings an evocative series of Hampstead Heath landscape paintings to the Affordable Art Fair following the success of her solo show HeathScapes at Burgh House.
Her paintings which she describes as “poetic landscapes” have their staring point in observation of the natural world but she describes them as “invented scenes conveying the essence of a place and mood rather than literal photographic depictions”.
Sally won the Cass Art sponsored Life Painting Prize 2016 at Hampstead School of Art and has exhibited widely including at the Mall Galleries (Pastel Society Annual Exhibition 2025), Hampstead Art Society at the Fitzrovia Gallery 2022, Art House, Picture the Heath, The Affordable Art Fair and others. She is represented by Tripod Gallery.
Her paintings are featured on book covers and she undertakes commissions. Hyman’s work is in many private collections in the UK and worldwide.
